About to get on a raft in the Lower Youghiogheny River. Southwestern PA. Ohiopyle State Park.

Dulles. Dawn. No sleep. See you in a month, California.

Sitting at a bar in LAX. Thinking about this past weekend. New music, great friends, great expectations.

California, rock camp and quantum jumping

Forgive me, blog.  I have neglected you.  You have been very patient with me.  You never complain when I send out messages from Ping, and you get updated from some cold html code.  You are content with a 137 character post. Not a peep, when I don’t give you a subject title.

Well, blog. Today is the day I keep it real.

I’m taking it to the streets with this one.  We are back.  I’m going old school and I’m typing this message directly to your screen, from my laptop, with my fingers, sipping coffee, listening to the guys outside my condo mow the lawn.  Feels good to be alive again, doesn’t it blog?

Process deeply, my 1110001100010.

Hello there.  Been a while, pfriends.  I’ve been keeping busy.  Writing and scheming and dreaming up new things.  I leave for California on Thursday morning for “rock camp”.  I joined a band out there, in the O.C. as the kids like to call it.  I’m very excited about the whole thing.  Singing and playing guitar.  Of course, I’ll still do my own thing.  The band, which will be revealed when the time is right, came up out of the blue, pleasantly rocked my socks and I am now feeling like I’m in a Cameron Crowe movie.

I uploaded The Cowards Choir to Noisetrade this week (see widget below).  I’ve been admirer for a while, but didn’t activate my account because I always seemed to need that extra $$ for gas, food, lodging and spelunking.  Well, they are very gracious folks, and to commemorate their 1 year anniversary Noisetrade has waived the sign up fee.  So, I activated all battle stations for FREE.  Right on, Levon.

Some of you have seen my posts and status updates about secret fall missions.  Stay tuned.  There are some things developing right now, and I think its best that I wait to see how they unfold before I go yapping about it.

Lastly, I come to the mystery of quantum jumping.

I occasionally check my electronic mail. By occasionally, I mean I occasionally check my electronic mail every 4 and a half minutes.  I use the very efficient, world dominating GoogleMail.  It’s pretty kick ass.  Anyway, if you are familiar with the search engine, you know that advertisements come up on the side of the page, based on what you’re searching for. For instance, if I wanted to search for Michael Jackson’s memorial service coverage, there would be adds for Thriller, etc.  Well, same goes for Gmail.  So, I was checking my email yesterday and happened upon an ad for Quantum Jumping. “What, pray tell, is this bit of weirdness”, I said.  And the more important question, “What could I have in my inbox to suggest that I would be interested in this kind of thing?”

So, I did what we all do.  I Googled it.

This is the definition I got from the website.

Quantum Jumping is the process of “jumping” into parallel dimensions, and gaining skills, knowledge, wisdom and inspiration from alternate versions of yourself.

Look, I’m sure this dude is a nice guy.  He looks nice in his picture, anyway.  I just can’t help but think of Doc and Marty hopping into the Delorean, taking it up to 88 mph, heading to 2055 to see how they can improve their golf swing.

88mphGreat Scott.

The Cowards Choir, separate tracks and a bonus song! @NoiseTrade! http://ping.fm/UVOu4
